In cooperation with CAD specialist Cadenas, AMF has developed a system which enables the export of AMF products in over 60 CAD formats and also as sub-assemblies with active links. AMF is the leading supplier worldwide in this field. The CAD systems Solid Works, Unigraphic, Inventor and Catia V5 are currently able to exploit this function. But it will surely soon be available on other systems too.

Whereas you previously had static, inflexible blocks, now you have access to the complete range of kinematic functions on your CAD screen and can carry out comprehensive collision analysis.

There are three different ways of doing this:

1. Ordering AMF parts from the AMF Homepage and the integrated parts server, either using Online Shop / Products or directly via CAD Data. In this case, the kinematics, i.e. the links are not transmitted.
2. Ordering AMF parts in neutral PS2 or PS3 format using the parts server. In this case, the kinematics, i.e. the links are completely transmitted, but the customer must install an import client./li>
3. Offline CAD from AMF or Partsolution CAD Data CD-ROM. In this case, the kinematics, i.e. the links are transmitted complete to the CAD systems Solid Works, Unigraphic, Inventor and Catia V5.

A further advantage of AMF CAD Data is the complete transmission of the structure tree to all CAD systems. Accessories selected in the system are immediately combined with their clamping elements. When generating a parts list, the article designations from the structure tree are inserted, and the ordering procedure can be initiated directly.

To simplify and speed up the work of the fixture designer, the data are transmitted with typical functions, which can be individually faded out if they are not needed. This increases system performance, so that functions such as rotation, calculation, etc. run significantly faster.
