In the eleventh year of the campaign, which the trainees independently planned and carried out as a project with practical relevance, a record amount was raised once again. The proceeds are traditionally donated to charity.

"Our sales stand at the Fellbach Christmas market has become a mainstay in the meantime, which visitors eagerly head for", says Tim Steiner, who is training to become an industrial clerk at AMF. And Sophie Widmann, a budding tool mechanic, adds: "From our new products, two have immediately managed to rank among the six most popular articles.

The stand has been at the Fellbach Christmas market for eleven years. With the proceeds from the sale of the metal articles the record amount of the previous year was surpassed once again. The project is planned and carried out by the trainees fully independently with support of the instructors. The decorative metal articles such as the 3D star, moon tea candle or zodiac sign are designed and made just as autonomously as the practical articles such as punches, pencil-sharpeners or salt + pepper shakers. "It is a pleasure to observe with how much commitment and enthusiasm everyone is involved here," reports the instructor Peter Andrianos. "And the learning effect is enormous, of course. You never forget these experiences."

Autonomous work with practical benefits

The product range includes 68 articles in the meantime. "This year there were seven new products", says Sophie Widmann. "The magnet pins brought in the highest amount this time," according to Tim Steiner. In second place it wasn't a metal product at all, however. Thus, the prize draw of an autographed VfB Stuttgart football jersey with the signatures of all the players brought in the second highest amount. Mr Andreas Fritz from Klaffenbach happily received the jersey as the lucky winner already at the beginning of January.

The Olgäle Foundation for sick Children in Stuttgart can now look forward to receiving the record donation. As always, the trainees themselves have proposed the beneficiary. The presentation of the check took place on Friday 20th January at AMF.
