Trainees from AMF donate the record amount of 12,500 Euros

And thus their 2015 Christmas market campaign yielded the record sales of 12,500 Euros. The proceeds are traditionally donated to charity. This year the donation goes to the Women help Women Association (Frauen helfen Frauen) in Stuttgart.

With the proceeds from the sale of the metal products produced and marketed by the AMF trainees the record figure of the previous year was exceeded once again in the anniversary year of the campaign. The stand has been at the Fellbach Christmas market for eleven years. "In the first year, the sales revenue was slightly more than 4000 Euros," recalls the trainer, Peter Andrianos. The record amount of 12,500 Euros generated once again at the Christmas market 2015 fits perfectly to the tenth anniversary of the campaign and to the 125th anniversary of the company.

Wide variety of products grows

The range of decorative and functional metal products has increased to 62 in the meantime. "There were seven new products this time alone,"reports Özgür Tan, a trainee tool mechanic. These included, among other things, a wind chime, a rose and numerous new motifs made of magnet pins. "The salt and pepper set yielded the highest amount (1,600 Euros), followed by the magnet pins (932.50 Euros) and then by the document punch (600 Euros)," says Kerstin Scharmann, a trainee commercial clerk.

The most popular articles in terms of number of items sold were the magnet pins (373), followed by the metal Christmas trees (300) and the happy smiling reindeer (180). The proceeds of the Christmas market campaign were topped up as always by the time spent by the employees at the sales stand, which AMF pays into the donation pot.

The Women help Women Association in Stuttgart, which cares for women, girls and boys who have become victims of domestic violence, can now look forward to receiving the record donation. As always, the trainees themselves have proposed the beneficiary. The presentation of the check took place on Friday 19th February at AMF.
