In the category "Buildings and Elements" the aesthetic quality and elegant, functional design of our VARIBO wrought-iron gate lock convinced the jury.
The award ceremony took place last Friday as part of the international trade fair “Ambiente” at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds.

Only the best products, manufacturers or designers are admitted to the German Design Award.

The prize is is awarded every year by the German Design Council, a foundation initiated by the German Bundestag, to which 200 design-oriented German companies belong today.

The expert jury is composed of international representatives from business, science and design industry. The nominated products are assessed according to a wide range of criteria, such as functionality, design quality and sustainability.

With the flexible VARIBO AMF wrought-iron gate lock made of stainless steel, a lock from AMF Andreas Maier GmbH & Co. KG has been justifiably named “WINNER 2016”: stainless steel materials inside and outside distinguish the brand quality of the timelessly elegant yet robust stainless steel lock with aluminium casing.

We are very happy to receive this prestigious award - more than 125 years of experience and competence in locks for doors and gates have made this possible.
