The jury awarded our “AMF gripper with wireless sensoring systems” in the investment goods/tools category.

Andreas Maier GmbH & Co. KG (AMF) has won an international design award. The winners of the FOCUS OPEN 2021 were honoured in mid-October 2021 as part of a ceremonial award.

The modular gripper system from AMF achieves fully automated workpiece change during the machining process in a tool machine.
That allows worker-free production shifts around the clock while saving space and without high investments in a robot or large machining centres.

The gripper system is also pioneering with the optional AMF wireless sensoring systems and thus perfectly set up for Industry 4.0.

The Focus Open, state award of Baden-Württemberg, is one of the few non-commercial design awards with an international perspective in Germany, which annually and transparently rewards forward-looking designs in terms of design, innovation and sustainability. If possible, the original of each product submitted is presented to the jury for evaluation.

The original award-winning exhibits can be seen in the Ludwigsburg MIK Museum, Information, Kunst until 21.11.2021. Accompanying the exhibition is the extensive exhibition catalogue, which presents all of the award-winning products in German and English. High-quality images and detailed product descriptions are complemented by the lively comments of the jury members.

The second Focus Gold in a row makes us very proud and is a valuable confirmation for our product development in international comparison. We are especially pleased to receive this international, highly respected award and thank all our colleagues who contributed to this success.
