Compensating collet
Design:
Body from steel. External surface, nickel-plated. Steel clamping lever, case-hardened. The clamping levers are driven by one single-acting piston. Clamping lever, standard is not supplied as standard. Oil supply via oil channel in fixture body.
Application:
The compensating collet is used in clamping devices to clamp or , hold workpieces floating and distortion-free. Several compensating collets can be used without distorting the workpiece. The element prevents vibrations on the workpiece during machining. The compensating collet is suitable for holding the workpieces but not for positioning them.
Features:
The compensating collet holds the workpiece without clamping it. A wide range of clamping forms can be implemented with the clamping lever blank.
Note:
Before operating the compensating collet, the workpiece must be clamped to prevent it from moving.
Resetting of the clamping lever by the compression spring. The clamping levers are clamped via a clamping disc.
Clamping force [kN] = Piston force [kN] * 22 [mm]/Lever length [mm].
For example, standard clamping lever at 100 bar 3.1 x 22/37 = 1.8 kN
